Rosana Hernandez was born in Ecuador, South America, and was raised in South Florida. Ms. Hernandez is a 1996 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, Baltimore, Maryland. In 1992, Ms. Hernandez received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts. Ms. Hernandez studied European economic history in Florence, Italy and speaks Italian. She has lived in Europe and South America. Prior to joining the civil/commercial litigation practice of Gilbride, Heller & Brown, P.A., she worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services conducting Medicare fraud and abuse investigations and administration sanctions. Ms. Hernandez also worked at the law firm of Zuckerman, Spaeder, Taylor & Evans where she practiced in the areas of health care law and criminal defense of Medicare and Medicaid fraud. Ms. Hernandez is the Miami-Dade County's Florida Association for Women Lawyers Newsletter Editor for the year 2000-2001. Ms. Hernandez is also a 2000 graduate of Leadership Miami.
