Amanda McGovern is a Partner at Gilbride Heller & Brown and focuses her litigation practice in complex commercial and international matters in courts across the United States and throughout the world. She has broad jury trial experience in federal and state courts.  Ms. McGovern is a member of the Executive Council of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar. She was the 2009 Chair of the Florida International Law Section's Annual Conference for the International Litigation and Arbitration Committee and was selected to be the Chair of the Committee for 2010. Ms. McGovern also taught International Law at the University of Miami in 2007.

Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Ms. McGovern received her A-Levels in Kent, England and graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. She speaks French and Spanish. After working for two years with Mayor Koch on urban development in New York City, Ms. McGovern attended the University of Miami School of Law. She graduated, cum laude, as Editor-in-Chief of one of its law reviews and with a scholarship for her work in the Trial Advocacy Program.

Ms. McGovern is named as one of Florida Trend's Legal Elite (2008 and 2009), Florida's Benchmark Litigators (2009), Florida's Super Lawyers (2009), and South Florida's Top Up and Coming Lawyers (2004 and 2005). She is AV Peer Review Rated.
